Military exercises at Twente Airport in the week of 16-18 September 2024

In the week from Monday 16 to Wednesday 18 September 2024, military flights and exercises will take place at Twente Airport as part of the annual international exercise Falcon Leap (from 9 to 20 September). During these days, transport aircraft of the Air Mobility Command, in cooperation with international partners, will train in dropping cargo and paratroopers at various locations in the Netherlands.

The aircraft fly lower than normal, which means they are more visible and audible in the surrounding area. This low-level flying is an important part of training for Defence pilots. This is a draft programme. Due to, for example, weather conditions or aircraft cancellations, the flight programme may be adjusted at the last minute.

The municipality and Twente Airport ask local residents to understand any inconvenience and emphasise that this is an exercise that contributes to international cooperation and safety. There will be no flights after 11pm. For more information about the exercises and flight movements, please visit www.luchtmacht.nl/vliegbewegingen. Any complaints can be made at www.luchtmacht.nl/geluidshinder.
